Reports

2015 Report

The annual Arran Bird Report is a "must" for anyone interested in the birds of Arran.

It includes a summary of the year, the impact of weather on birds, information on ringed birds, as well as reports on all species seen and some of Arran's special bird projects. The uniqueness of Arran is reflected throughout the report, including the number of UK protected birds that share our island with us, as well as the differences between here and even the adjacent mainland.

This latest version of the annual report is available from shops and other outlets throughout the island, priced £5.00 or directly from Lindsey and Robert Marr of Lamlash

A Historical Perspective

This material has been extracted with the permission of the author from "An Atlas of Arran Vertebrates" mammals, breeding birds, reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fishes by J. A. Gibson, Chairman, Clyde Area Branch, Scottish Wildlife Trust and published by the Arran Nature Centre, Brodick in 1975. To view the extract click the image.

The extract is given solely as an interesting historical document. The validity of a number of the records is questionable.
